Pros

VMWare is becoming more involved and hopefully changing the culture at Air Watch.

Cons

The entire business model of AirWatch is finding the cheapest possible labor. They usually hire recent graduates who have no idea how underpaid they are. Most of the people who leave usually find jobs that double their former salary at AirWatch. They exploit smart people who join Air Watch from their Wandering Wifi division by paying them extremely low wages and use their lack of education as an excuse. There is a reason why the moment the most talented people are leaving Air Watch at an alarming rate. Don't be fooled when Air Watch claims to be one of the best companies or best paying companies. That stat is all VMWare, Air Watch is nothing like VMWare...the only thing they share is a name.

Pros

1. Free AC cabs. 2. No work in QA. 3. TT, Carrom and Chess for recreation - 5pm to 6pm. 4. No variable pay. Initial compensation is good.

Cons

1. No onsite opportunities. Honestly, the on-site opportunities here are zero. There are a few developers who get once in a life time opportunity to travel to Atlanta - for 10 days. 2. Hygiene level is equivalent to that of a local railway station. Cafeteria stinks, the toilets are in very bad condition. The office carpets and desks are cleaned one in 2 weeks or so. 3.Food quality is pathetic. There is one North Indian and one South Indian vendor, both don't offer varieties. There is a juice counter which is worse than the lunch vendors. Omelettes prepared 2 days back are served along with the sandwiches. 4. Gives you a back to school feeling. You cannot raise your voice if u feel anything around you is wrong. The Dev managers are dictators and most of the QA managers are trying to be like him apart from a few. You cannot play TT or other recreation games before 5 p.m. 5. No work life balance for Dev. You are on call 24x7. 6. Hikes are delayed without any prior intimation. 7. The leave policies are integrated with VMWare's policy. Still the managers don't allow you to take leaves. 8. No work from home policy. 9. Regional language is used for communication within the office. People from other states - Beware ! 10. There is no work in QA, still they are hiring people like sheep and cattle. 11. In house WiFi goes down frequently. This gives you a govt. bank like feeling, and creates a very good impression among the onshore team who are convinced that we are a backward country. 12. No room for innovation. 13. I have heard there is an HR team somewhere inside a secret room. But unfortunately, I haven't met them so far. Strange.
