Pros

Catered lunch, 100 bucks wellness benefits, 15 days PTO, 9 sick days, 5 float days.

Cons

Long hours and insane expectations. Office is mostly empty after 5P but Slack is active 24/7. Comparable to working at an investment bank. I wish I could give 0 star for work/life balance.

It’s hard for me to reply to this review and the other reviews you wrote. I can see you are angry and seem to be in pain, which troubles me. From time to time we have employees who find themselves on a team or project that they aren’t happy about. They go to their manager or if their manager is the problem they go to the next level leader, another leader, HR or even our CEO. Unity is a very approachable culture. I’m not sure why you don’t feel you can do that but encourage you to try it. I promise you if you reach out to me or even John, you will be listened to and get an immediate response. The conversation will be confidential. Unity is filled with examples of employees sharing what’s not working as well as what is. They are engaged in making it better. If you join one of our internal Slack channels and in the round tables you would see the tremendous passion from the employees both for our customers but also for our company. Massive passion and pride. It would be great if you can reach out so we can address your situation. Elizabeth Brown--Unity Head of HR

Great Place to Work If You're Already Motivated

Pros

So many smart people and you will be surrounded by some of the hardest working people in the biz Lots of vets at the top and people who know how to ship. They seem to have a good business plan and lots of ideas on how to get there. Strong benefits. They take care of their people. This is one of the best benefits packages I've ever seen.

Cons

Hard to know where you're supposed to go and it's easy to feel lost at times. I know of some people who quit during a small project shift because they didn't know where they were moving to next. They didn't ask so I think you need to be motivated and a self starter to do well. The company has rotating wine and beers in the basement. Great for when you need to grab an after work drink at 5pm. But not when it's everything. Beers on the roof. Wine at lunch. Beers at 4pm. Beers at 3pm.
