Pros

There are many crazy smart people working here. Doesn’t really matter where you go, you’ll run into someone that you can learn from. Unity offers the standard SV perks and bennies. Still needs to step up their total comp game tho.

Cons

Imagine a prodigy with a knack for solving complex problems but raised by highly dysfunctional and unstable parents. That’s what Unity is right now. If you still haven’t made the connection, the prodigy is the employees and the dysfunctional parents is the management. So, if you want to experience what it’s like to be raised by unstable people, join Unity! It will be anxiety-inducingly fun :):)

Pros

Some great people work there. Major international company.

Cons

Huge issues with bullying, elitism and cliques. Also big problems with drug taking culture in the Brighton office. Unity emphasises the autonomy of team leaders so experiences can differ greatly. Observed some real horror stories during my time.

Pros

Great salary, paid lunches. Work-from-home twice a week.

Cons

I had no feeling of belonging to a team, at Unity. Few developers actually coded, most just did code reviews and complained on the internal chat tool. Then, there was the dark, cave-like work environment and the 10-minutes lunches. Finally, the company starts duplicate projects in different cities and puts them in competition against each other.
