Pros

I enjoy the job. Customers are great. Employees are a delight to work with. Fast paced environment. Flight Benefits are a great perk and the reason we all work here. You and significant other fly free on United and for about $25 per flight hour on Delta (Parents, significant other, and children included). You can almost always get where you want to go on vacation.

Cons

Sincerely, I love working at the airport for Unifi but the reality is that compensation is behind the curve. I made more 20 years ago in high school. The lack of compensation is a leading indicator why people do not stay long term. Local management cannot do anything about it. It's not their fault. The low compensation established by regional leaders for gate agents and ramp workers causes stress on local management to fill in when people leave suddenly. It causes the operation to run lean on staff. I feel for the local management. They work long hours. Few seem to stay in management* positions longterm because of the impact of turnover on family life. Everyone is doing the best they can but there is stress on the system and everyone needs to take care of their families first.
