Pros

Working in aviation is very interesting, The corporate team is relatively small, and people are generally friendly and nice to work with.

Cons

Total compensation is below-average. You're offered salary plus a non-discretionary bonus. The bonus is dependent on company financial performance vs. targets, which is subject to a higher tax rate than regular salary, and is not guaranteed. Flight benefits are offered by Delta for the foreseeable future. You will pay a reduced rate for space-available standby travel. You aren't guaranteed a seat on any flight. Unifi employees and their families travel at the lowest available standby priority. Missing work because you aren't able to successfully obtain a seat is not excused. Standard corporate work hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Thursday in office, with Friday as remote, except one mandatory Friday per month. No exceptions. You can work remotely 6 times per year for instances where you can't be in the office but can work a full day. Otherwise, PTO is required. People are afraid of being punished or fired for not being in the office and at their desk. People are accusing others of violating the office policy and reporting them to HR. The Executive Chairman regularly walks the office to see who is at their desk, and in the past, he's taken names and sent them to senior management. We're told that we aren't being monitored but that the company reserves the right to monitor our badge scans. We work hard, senior management expects a high level of productivity, but we've lost any flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance, and compensation isn't commensurate with the great work we do. The office environment is tense and uncomfortable. Salaried employees feel like hourly employees. There is a significant lack of trust, and morale in corporate is very low.
