Pros

the discount used to be solid. that’s pretty much it.

Cons

This isn’t even a con, but it’s the only place I can say this: I worked for UA almost 3 years, from my location’s inception to the release of the Pride collection. Because we were a brand house, I understood that there was always more expected of us. I was going through a very difficult time (homelessness) and I didn’t have the mentality to come into work. I called and was threatened to be written up if I didn’t come in. I spent most of not all of my shift crying and sobbing in the stock room. A coworker came to comfort me and she later on told me that our department’s full-time associate and another department’s manager rolled their eyes and laughed at me. Which was funny because when I confided in my department’s former manager, he was extremely sympathetic and treated me with the utmost kindness. I was sent voicemails and phone calls from other department managers fake caring and asking if I was okay, and I most definitely wasn’t. I was also consistently singled out by others in my department and didn’t even get my final raise. I had to defend myself for anything and everything. I was treat so poorly despite sacrificing my weekends, school hours, and mental stability just so they could make money off MY unappreciated labor. They have clear favorites and those are the full time employees. They’re not shy about who they let go on break and who they force to stick it out for several more hours. It’s no wonder the turnover rate is absolute garbage. They don’t train their employees and treat them like crap because they’re unhappy with their own lives. They also love to hire externally because they don’t like their employees enough to give them a fair chance.

Long hours I work three 12 hour shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you are on your feet moving the whole time there is one 30 minute break in the morning and one 45 minute break in the afternoon

Pros

Energy, enthusiasm, pride and tribal feelings.

Cons

The culture is so insular and one-note aggressive that the blind spots were huge. See the stale product designs and tanking revenues.
