Pros

The discount and some of the people you will meet there.

Cons

If you have any kind of scenario where your pay would be different than your regular paycheck, they may or may not pay you. If you're on maternity leave, they may not pay you (I'm not the only one this happened to in my district). When they don't pay you, they will talk to you like you are wrong and are the idiot even though it's YOUR PTO that YOU EARNED and they should disperse it the way you tell them to so you don't have to go almost a month without a paycheck after just having a baby. Also, when you return from maternity leave, they may not pay you correctly. Finally, when you realize you don't have to work for an employer that treats you like dirt anymore and get a job somewhere else, they will probably not pay you correctly on your final pay either. What? Donald Trump gets elected and all of a sudden it's okay to keep people form their hard-earned money that they need to survive? Save yourself the trouble and go make more money somewhere else-- the pay isn't that competitive to begin with anyway. This is not a female-friendly employer. I slayed it four years at this company (steady career progression with plenty of results) and then when all of a sudden you are adding to your family and need to lean on your company to help you out (aka maternity leave and Short Term Disability), the view on you changes. Especially, when you decide to take more than 6 weeks so you can bond with your child.

Pros

Decent (not great) pay. Flexible hours in most roles, working out during the day is acceptable. Showers on-site, and finally with hot water after a year. Lunches catered on Fridays, though frequently not healthy.

Cons

Many projects are hacked together and not well thought-out. Zero opportunity to move up, unless you get out of a technical role. Even then, chances are slim to none. Promises, policies and plans are consistently broken because of laziness and bad habits. Well-defined plans and roadmaps are extraordinarily rare. Projects are not typically customer-focused. Order of importance frequently is: money, third-party clients, effort level, then customers.
