Pros

Christmas time pay: 12 hour work days, 6 days a week.

Cons

Everything and everyone else. Toxic work environment. Only work you up to and in excess of 40 hours during the holiday season. They cap your hours so they don't have to pay you during the rest of the year. Management pits your coworkers against each other, won't take any credit for their mistakes, no regular schedule, schedule isn't available until day of, work you to the bone, and expect you to do the work of five men. Have been part time for over a year with empty promises of full-time conversion.

Pros

Literally no pros to this job.

Cons

Be prepared to work 6- 7 days a week with no set schedule. To make "career" you have to wait 2+ years. Insurance benefits for non-career are almost $800 per month. 99% of the people who I worked with at a Passaic County NJ post office told me to quit on my first day meeting everyone. Management/supervisors are not friendly/supportive for a new hire. Low-skill level job. ZERO sick days. No joke, it's zero. You can earn vacation days but I was told by a supervisor vacation days for non-career are almost never approved. A poor business model overall. Pretty disappointing experience overall. :(

Pros

Good starting pay. Lots of hours depending on the area you’re working in.

Cons

Can be too many hours. Unpredictable scheduling. No stability. Can be sent to different locations whenever and wherever for however long. Only concerned with the dollar. No balance between work and home life.
