Pros

USPS offers a very competitive wage, security, health benefits, ability to transfer to different offices, FERS retirement with a match, pension, vacation and sick leave.

Cons

Extreme personality differences in manager's attitudes, in each of the post offices, and departments within the post offices. Repetitive strenuous working motions that can cause injuries over time.

Pros

Overall considering that the USPS is a large governmental organization the company is a good place to work. It offers good pay and benefits in addition to great service in all communities.

Cons

For upward mobility within the organization one must be mobile and willing to relocate. Aside from letter carriers and window clerks most other jobs require you to work evenings and nights.

Pros

The pay is good compared to other companies in the area. Scheduling was flexible when not in high season, and so was getting time off

Cons

Barely any jobs available and layoffs. Hard to advance these days and they give transitional employees false hopes of becoming careers. Favoritism of careers over TEs
