Good pay and also you earn your own PTO which it could be a con too.

Cons

Even though they hire you as "part-time" employee, they give you full time hours in which some cases that's great but if you're truly looking for a part time job this is not it. As a "pse" employee you don't have guaranteed anything, not hours not days off and the schedule hours vary per day per week, e.i Monday 6am-10am, 3pm-6pm, Tuesday 2am-10am. It could also be that you are sent to a different office every day (that is if you are a city pse). Split shifts, I have never worked so many split shifts as I have working for the post office. I could go on and on but for now that is all I'm gonna say.

Pros

People are generally nice to all mail carriers, respectful even, and at times shocked to realize that CCA's work long hours, countless days and even Sundays.

Cons

Extreme hours and days, no consideration for family or health, Position covers all the delivery elements not authorized by Union contract and has lead to an apparent stagnation of "full time" retirements as working disabled has grown and working beyond 20 to 30 years is now possible as a cheap and expendable labor force is burned through at a monthly turn over rate two times what is considered by the government as acceptable

Payrate 17.40 but should be more for what you are required to do

No time off, work long hours, if u finish at a decent hour your sent back out to help the slow poke who dies want to work less hours and get paod more.... Managers suck!!!! They dont care about your health.. No breaks.. Most areas have no bathrooms or food on route.... Trucks dirty and old... Always breaking down. No ac.... U work in rain cold ect... No life!!!!
