Pros

the staff are great to work with and long term, this could be a great place to work for as a career - if you dont get fired before your probation ends

Cons

I worked for the USPS as MHA. I was never late, never called off, worked hard, never slacked. I have never in my life been fired from a job. About a week left until my 90 day probation was over, my manager pulled me into his office, in the middle of my shift and told me I am let go. He gave me the letter and that was it. I asked why and he said he saw me checking my phone. Never had a got a warning. My discharge letter states that my performance was not what they wanted (in short). As we were leaving, both the supervisor and I saw other employees on their phones and I am sure he wont't be firing everyone. This office was overworked, everyone was working long shifts, sometimes over 12 hours (night shift also) and many of the staff were working 6 days weeks as the office was extremely busy and understaffed. Pros

I worked as an Assistant Rural Carrier from 09/17 to 07/19. If you can get this job then get it. It was so easy and unless you are absolutely terrible you should get hired. Actually takes at least a month to even get hired though. This was just a part time gig for me. Training takes at least 3 days. Then you usually just work Sundays and Federal Holidays despite the job notice saying Saturday which I never did but that just be location dependent. Essentially this job was just delivering Amazon packages in a LLV or the Promaster vans. You get assigned a route and scan and load your packages yourself. Then you just following that route with the gps scanner and deliver. Easy peasy. The only reason I left was because surgery put me out of commission for many months so I couldn’t keep it. Highly recommend this position while they have it. When I left I was making 17.87 an hour and averaged about 393 a month just working Sunday and about 5k a year with Holidays

Cons

In the beginning, they did throw me out in the field with a different route each week so I was slow as hell and they will get on you and text you and call you telling you to hurry up. Once I got a consistent route things were less stressful and much more enjoyable. I do wish I could have worked Saturdays too.
