Pros
Walking daily reset my mind. Coworkers can become your close friends. Lots of wonderful customers and the job itself holds dignity as far as delivering folks mail (especially if it's personal). Loved being outdoors and having time to deliver on my own after casing. Very meditative.
Cons
Management style is very cliched-level of understanding aka at times they really felt like "clipboards" yelling at you... Mail carriers are treated like ants to go go go and go. Lots of yelling like petulant children from management or toxic coworkers can be very difficult to navigate (union difficulties). There's something good and ugly about staying on the same route for 5, 10, 20 years....The body can get injured easily.
