Insufficient Pay & Excessive work volume
Pros
Being outdoors, interacting with customers on the route, clean work environment, and excellent, superior healthcare and benefits
Cons
Could never live on my own, because my paychecks are too small due to limited hours as an RCA. You'd think we'd make more per hour to compensate the fact that we only get to work on average---at least for me--- less than 20 hours per week. Also, the volume of mail and packages/spurs we have to deliver is way too much. Wish the post office would have an all package only delivery job and a separate job for only delivering mail and spurs. They should stop deciding how much we get paid by how much mail and packages we deliver, and just pay us a large hourly amount no matter what we are delivering. Change the system. It's out of date and illogical. Give RCAs $23/hr. so that we can actually live and make ends meet. Also, tired of driving unsafe postal vehicles. Don't have the same pay across the board. Pay based on merit and seniority, not just seniority. Give a mid year bonus to employees who really work hard and strive to be their best. I can't emphhasize enough, GIVE RCAs MORE PAY PLEASE. This and overwhelming work loads is why I have given such a low rating. Fix this, and I'd give them 5 stars.
