It's good money, if you want to work your entire life away.
Cons
It's MANY more hours than what they will tell you up front. You think, "The mail runs 6 days a week, yes, but that's why they have subs (rural carrier assistants). I'm going to be a sub, so surely I won't have to work 6 days a week." But... no. Wrong. Actually you might have to work 7 days a week, because actually mail carriers work 7 days a week now, delivering Amazon packages on Sunday. Everyone who works there (those who have stayed long-term) are the sorts who glamorize overworking. They're all like, "If I ONLY get 60 hours a week, I'm mad about it!" Also, they stiffed me on my mileage pay when I left.
