      Pros

      UPS is solid financially, the benefits are very good. I was fortunate to be trained by someone who was very knowledgeable which makes me very good at my job.

      Cons

      References to light building volume by part time and full time supervisors which are not relevant to my particular area. Directing us to work outside our area for half an hour to an hour daily and then refusing to take that into consideration when computing our production numbers. New hires now seem to be put into a job without sufficient training. As the end of the shift gets closer and these new hires are having trouble getting done, their supervisor just yells at them to go faster. What has happened to the supervisors who knew the job and how to lead and instruct people?

      Pros

      One the best reason is the fact that The UPS Store is all over the place, meaning that wherever you live you are bound to find a UPS Store not too far from you. This makes for more job opportunities.

      Cons

      You get some slow days where you get literally bored and end up doing tasks that are already done. At least this leaves time for some school work to be done.

      Its got heritage and a big brand , get to meet and interact with a lot of senior management

      Cons

      Horribly hierarchial, lot of processes, very rigid and full of old people , the average age is about 35.Most of the bosses have been with the firm for about 20-30 years which makes everything very compliacetd
