Pros

As a staff, we have incredible benefits including health insurance, parental leave of 24 weeks for mothers and 30 days annual leave. We have the ability to work with diverse partners from government to NGOs and private sectors.

Cons

As a UN staff, we have several restrictions regarding outside activities, to prevent conflict of interest.

No job security

Business Outlook

Pros

good work-life balance, engaging projects, and strong pension and benefit - but only for staff positions, and even then, job security is limited unless the role is continuing position.

Cons

inefficient workflows, unstable contracts, an oversized workforce where many contribute little but still receive full pay, and a culture where some act self important, intoxicated by their association with the name of UN.
