Pros

As the UNHCR is a small United Nations Agency, there are many opportunities to perform different functions in key roles, and always have space for learning.

Cons

There are not many opportunities of growth, as in the United Nations there is no career plan, and therefore the only way to grow is to apply for different positions.

You are often at the whim of opaque HQ HR policies - very little guidance or human touch.
