Pros

I enjoyed my time there. The work was very challenging but doable. And the incentive structure is on par with market rates.

Cons

Poor work life balance. Poor diversity.

Pros

Fulfilling and motivating work. You can see the organisation making a difference in people's lives and be a part of it. A career with UNHCR is anything but boring and there are many opportunities to try out various jobs in different countries.

Cons

Rotation system between duty stations can be hard to ensure stability for the families of staff. It can be a source of stress and frustration as rotation happens at regular times and frequently, the jobs on offer are in dangerous duty stations where family members cannot reside.
