Job benefits are outstanding. Most of the staff and patients are really wonderful.

Cons

Poor training if any; horrible management and HR department. Review the companies ongoing diversity issues all over the Internet.

Pros

UCLA is an amazing university with a variety of learning opportunities. Location (Westwood) is excellent. My department, Electrical Engineering has good faculty and a fantastic reputation.

Cons

Considering the cost of living in West LA, the stipend that graduate student researchers receive is very low. More than half the stipend goes just towards rent. Enrollment has increased dramatically in the past few years. As a result, popular classes get over-crowded and it has adversely affected the quality of teaching.
