Pros

Beautiful campus Great reputation. Good school. Depends on the department you work for, though.

Cons

Depends on the department you work for. If you're working for a good department chair, you're all set. If your department chair is incompetent, look out!

Pros

benefits are decent and lots of days off since its state holidays

Cons

as someone stated depends on what department you work under . Our department is micromanaged big time, received $3 cummulative raise after 4.5years. No overtime pay unless you are manager favorite , also if you are favorite then you don't receive complicate work - basically you are screwed and used . Not sure why they hire the same group of people who like to make the tush bigger and management who misuse and abuse their power. Transfer to another department difficult at least in my department .

Pros

A lot of latitude in the direction of work. No office politics and an emphasis on getting the work done. Great crew in network engineering and operations. Some other groups were overly protective of their jobs.

Cons

Pay not that great, but the benefits were very good. Training needs to be done on your own initiative and there's very little support for training.
