Pros

Coworkers are great. Really willing to help and makes your shift go by easier. Good relationships are maintained.

Cons

Management can be tough with inflexibility with scheduling/vacation. Staff retention is problematic. Some units are better than others. Some difficulties with work life balance especially with micromanagement.

Pros

Amazing benefits and pension plan.

Cons

The opportunity for growth here is nonexistent. Your yearly raises are only 3% and management is completely checked out. The interview process averages about 3-4 months from when you apply to when you actually receive an offer. If you do get an offer it’ll be under market value for your position. Most employees have worked here for decades without any promotions and are miserable, they only stay for the benefits and pension. I personally don’t think the pension is worth staying the 5yr vesting period. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else
