Less demanding and fast-paced as private and commercial employers. Strong sense of community and pride in the UCLA brand. Overall positive work environment, supportive collaborators and solid benefits package.

Cons

Lack of monetization in content development can lead to lack of urgency. Often slow-paced in getting projects done, as well as above-average complexity in work guidelines and regulations due to academic hierarchy. Also, facilities vary widely, with some offices quite modern and others rather old and in need of upgrade.
