Pros

A majority of the people you will work with are the nicest people you'll ever meet in a workplace. The benefits and time off are awesome.

Cons

Everything depends on what department you work in. A few are great, most a good, a few are awful. Many managers got to their position not necessarily by being competent at their job but by managing to outlast everyone else. Every job is politics heavy and affecting any change can be almost impossible. Know your place and keep your head down is generally the name of the game.

Pros

Beautiful campus, diversity, variety, convenience, staff discounts, lots to do, lots of ways to get involved and network, non-profit organization

Cons

Other people love working for UCLA too, so many of the professionals with some experience under their belt tend to stay a looooong time (many until retirement). This is great for them, however, if you are a more junior employee, when you've grown and are ready to move up to the next step in your career, you may not be able to do so in your current department; however, there are often suitable positions open if you're willing and open to moving to a completely new department or division at a different location on campus.

Pros

Nice environment to work in, supervisors and co-workers are very accommodating. Available for international students.

Cons

Although the requirement for this job is to get at least a B+ in that class, an A is more preferable. Must be highly organized.
