Pros

Diverse student population, nice environment, but workload depends on professor. Very informative training provided for new TAs, strong emphasis on training and support for Teaching Assistants. Pay is not bad for public university.

Cons

Some professors have certain expectations and do overwork you. Difficult to balance teaching and course load at the same time, especially as a graduate student.

Pros

Important work is being done there. Everyone there is a film lover and if you are too you will fit right in. Pretty laid back atmosphere like a library.

Cons

The pay isn't so great and there never seems to be enough budget to make improvements. Difficult to change pay grades and you will cap out over time.
