Absurd turnover rate.

Pros

Centrally located office in mid-town Manhattan. No other pros, really. This is not a good company to work for.

Cons

No long-term thinking whatsoever, there's no future at TransPerfect. This company does not value their employees. The staff is not a valued resource at TransPerfect. If you're not happy it's not their problem. Anyone can fill your seat, at any time. 60-70 h work weeks are considered "light" and 80-90 is more like "normal". But don't think you'll get paid a big, fat salary for this work. The starting salary is at the looower end of entry-level and for the hours you are expected/forced to put in, the compensation is ridiculous. Salary increases are low/non-existent and completely at the whim of the owners.

The super positive reviews here have to be faked.

Pros

Good people bonding together through a bad experience, but that's just human nature. A forced second class culture that comes up with great gags about the overseers 3 Park is The Slaveship. Wish I had made that up rather than learned it.

Cons

Over worked, under paid, bullied, super high turnover, pyramid scam for Sr. management and lifers who got in before 2005 - 6.

Pros

Young entry level staff - starting pay in proj mngment typically around $40K If u can release the ball n'chain from your ankle to your desk - you can attend a few social events sponsored by TP - a way of them showing their gratitude for your blood, sweat and tears If you find a second in your day to interact socially with your coworkers - you can find some really great people work here - yet they're so overworked, you mostly feel their pain or see their tears.

Cons

Um, same as above along with sr. management's appearance of having their head stuck in the sand and their lack of response to the obvious revolving door of production staff (either voluntarily or by termination). Issues with production are NEVER the fault of management decisions - but ALWAYS the fault of the employee....and thus TP continues to hire unqualified employees ...if that's the case.
