      Pros

      There are many product lines and products at Ingersoll-Rand that leaves many opportunities to experience and learn different things. As a huge company the benefits are decent and there is a fair work life balance.

      Cons

      As a female it was sometimes difficult to be taken seriously on the mechanical side of the business. Even though I was technical support. People are truly resources and when numbers need to be cut then they cut.

      Excellent opportunities for advancement - started as a Sales Rep on the Washington DC Metro Construction Project. Spent 3 years with I-R International as Gen Mgr of Saudi Operations. spent 2 years as calling on Major National Accounts East. Finally, 11 years as VP - Branch of Company Retail Store in Casper, WY.

      Cons

      Weak top Management - Board of Directors decided to spin off Construction and Mining Group several years ago.
