      Low competitive wages. Hours worked are all over the place. Very hard to move up in this company with a low ceiling.

      Pros

      People live the company values every day, and there are a lot of strategic thinkers here. Everyone cares about business results and doing their work ethically and safely. Company promotes work life balance, though there is almost always too much to do!

      Cons

      Heavily engineering focused, and many people, including senior leaders think like engineers. Makes it more difficult to move up in the company and get a variety of experiences outside of one or two functions if you don't have an engineering background.

      Pros

      Benefits match industry standards, but corporate culture and opportunities are so much better than at similar companies. Best career move I've made was to join Trane. It helped that salaries were considerably higher as well.

      Cons

      IR corporate involvement is growing, so there may be more headaches associated with that eventually appearing, like restricted travel during the fourth quarter to improve the immediate financial outlook.
