Very little Office Politics but extremely rigid System
Pros
The management level are very straightforward and transparent with their expectations. They are also transparent with everyone's performance and encourage healthy competition among employees. The colleagues are very friendly, treated everyone like family. The company is also very flexible in their timing, as long as you get your work done. As for I am sales, I get more flexibility, as long as you bring in revenue. Everyone is doing their best to help each other.
Cons
The system of the company, aka SAP is extremely rigid and every processes are very time consuming. From getting approval for Gross Margin and Purchase Requisition to paying sub-contractors take tedious workflow. Many vendors of Trane complain of being paid 90 days late, even when it was stated 30 days! The time taken to get things done have gone down the drain ever since the implementation of SAP. Almost everything requires multiple approval.
