      Pros

      Company has some great benefits and a flexible work environment, which is nice. However, much of your ability to take advantage of the benefits will depend on your manager. Many policies are implemented at varying levels depending on management, so as long as you have a supportive manager, you can really have a great work/life balance no matter what the work load because you have the ability to work when/how you work best.

      Cons

      They tend to run super lean, which means you will be over-worked much of the time. You really have to look out for yourself. Everyone is trying to climb the corporate ladder, so be aware!

      Pros

      Individual people very good to work with. Pay decent.

      Cons

      Management does not allow any questioning. La Crosse is poorly run and inflexible. Working atmosphere for salaried people is one of fear. Layoffs every few weeks so no one knows whether they will have a job the next day. Constant reorganization. Company no longer uses data to make decisions. It's all done by how they feel it should be. .

      Pros

      Pay and benefits were great, but like many companies, the benefits became "watered down" over time with employees paying more for less.

      Cons

      Opportunities exist, but like many companies, you have to be "one of the boys" for realistic consideration. Trane was a great company to work for, but transition to the IR model was brutal.
