- Total is an awesome place to work: fun colleagues, exciting work/projects, great benefits and work/life balance. - Despite the old industry, Total is extremely innovative in their approach to solving problems. Innovation is encourage throughout the company very rarely do I here 'that's now how we used to do it'. New ideas and ways are always welcomed. - Colleagues are from all over the world - some of the smartest I've ever worked with, extremely knowledgeable in their respective fields which gives me a lot to learn from. As an engineer its very easy for me to reach out to a subject matter experts in different parts of the world to seek help/guidance on a particular issue. -Total is continuously growing and has some very exciting work going on around the world. If you're open to expat opportunities Total can provide for a very dynamic career path.

Cons

-Despite being among the majors, very few people know of Total in the US. Not enough work is being done on brand recognition. -Tight on spending -For as international as Total is, sometimes it does feel overwhelmingly French - especially on a managerial level. Yet the gradual shift from being a French company to a more globally inclusive company is evident and noticeable. I've noticed a more international mix throughout the managerial ranks than before.
