Horrible management, great coworkers.

Pros

Because we are understaffed and spend 45-50 hours a week together, we in the back shop are like family. Being a woman in the industry, I found it hard to find a job and our old manager gave me the chance.

Cons

Understaffed, over worked, and not properly compensated. Commission rate is BS unless you are working at a busy store or getting your hands on large jobs. Hot summers and almost having a heat stroke because we barely get breaks. Our shop reaches 100 degrees. Management is a joke. The company cares more about their image than their employees. Replaced our experienced manager with one with no experience whatsoever and has no clue what she's doing.

Pros

Employee discount on tires, and health benefits.

Cons

Extremely micromanaged from corporate managers all over the country. Lots of negative motivation.

Pros

If you have a strong well oiled team that helps you its not that bad. Remember team work makes the dream work. At the shop i worked at there were only males we had a decent coworker relationship and cracked a lot of jokes and had many laughs. Sometimes there would be barely anything to do for weeks and other times we would be slammed from open until closed. If you are looking to gain experience in the automotive field its not a bad place to start. Ask questions and often times experienced mechanics will feed your curious mind about why this does that and why it had to be done in this order

Cons

There are time constraints that we as technicians are barely able to meet 30 minutes max for an oil change 59 minutes for a set of 4 tires. If you are completing these tasks by yourself one misplaced impact gun or oil filter wrench can send you over the short time limit easily. Not that it takes 30 minutes for a regular oil change but we have to inspect every vehicle and check tread dept air pressure brake fluid levels and other visible defects write everything down to make recommendations. Saturdays are mandatory for everyone
