i like the travel industry

Cons

Some over time are not paid need to be ready to work 10 or 15 minutes before starting time, often finished later and over time less then 15 minutes are not paid. We have to pay British pound 0,50 for charity every single Friday from our wages, have to pay 1 British Pound for birthday of the colleagues and bosses, where i am working it s about 200 and 300 staffs in Manchester so it s a lot of birthdays and money to pay at the end of the year. This money it s collected by manager, team leader or people from training department, also they some time make a list to make sure every one it s paying for it!!!!!

It's a well-respected company worldwide and the experience reads well on a resume. It's interesting to see how an extremely profitable company works from within. The perks are great - you fly subject to load for less than 1/10th the cost of a regular ticket

Cons

It is not progressive in terms of Human Resources Management. The HR practices they do have are only in name.

- Lots of Facilities such as free airline tickets, easy availability of loans etc - Pride of place to work in the region - Its a Wow factor to work in Emirates. It has a very good reputation in the region and outside and the Top Brass of the Airline are a very intelligent bunch and recognised worldwide due to which the company has a name - Very respected outside the workplace - One of the most secured companies in the region

Cons

- Lack of professionalism - No growth opportunities - Politics abound - Hierarchy is too rigid - Incompetent seniors
