Where to start? No longer the store that has a specific brand. We used to be about organization and closets. Now we’re selling pet supplies, blankets, beach chairs and other home goods. We have officially become Bed, Bath and Beyond.
There is zero training now. And if there is any it’s by someone who wasn’t trained in the area, so there is no consistency. This is a huge problem with any visual training. The store is constantly a mess with no signage. However this isn’t the fault of the team, it’s upper management ignoring the fact that you actually need more than four people to do a re-work or campaign change. No one is ever scheduled as “maintenance” anymore.
The constant focus on how many people have signed up for Organized Insider or if a Carry-Out was completed in less than 3 minutes is not what the company needs to be focused on. Focus on selling products that the customer actually comes to The CONTAINER Store for, and support and lift up your hard working, loyal team. And realize that every store is different. Quit comparing a low volume store to a high volume store. Handing out awards to stores who have completed their orders quickly isn’t fair when the stores who make the top three spots have 300-1,000 minutes of orders in two weeks as opposed to the stores that have 3,000+ minutes for the same two weeks.
The company is not loyal to their long term employees. They will let you go no matter how hard working and committed you have been to the company.
