Pros

People genuinely enjoy working at TCS. The Container Store has a great set of core values that is constantly reiterated. ("Air of excitement") Full time, part time, and shift leaders all perform the needed tasks as a team. The starting pay is pretty good compared to other retailers. There is great incentives to help recruit (around 400 bucks)

Cons

Sometimes work hours can be variable, but management gives a heads-up. At times it may feel like people are "too nice" but you get used to it.

Pros

This is a place that truly values their workers, they put them first and make sure that the workers know it. They also have guidelines and principals that are easy to understand and stick by. If the worker is up to it, the environment can be very fun.

Cons

Their strong values lead to extremely high expectations and this can be very difficult for a student. They also have a two, not three strike rule. Sometimes their expectations can be hard to work around for someone who has a lot of things to juggle

Pros

Flexibility, strong peer support, continuous training, teaching beyond the job, encouragement from management, empowering, competitive compensation. Overall working here is good, especially for a college student (see flexibility) or as a second job. They give what they get, and are very fair.

Cons

High expectations, which is not necessarily a con (see Advice...). During some shifts, especially ones that time sensitive (truck unloads and morning processes), individuals may be pushed to their limits--both physically and mentally.
