      Too Much for Less than Little

      The people made the work fun.

      Cons

      1 great person equals 3 good people = Work extra hard so that we don't have to staff adequately. No raises this year, but CEO and upper management will bonus. The company layoff memo spooked everybody into finding other employment. Upper management is out of touch with stores; bringing product not relevant or WAY too expensive for a normal customer to purchase i.e. an $80 personal fan with the exact same one being $30 at Costco? The company is sinking, yet upper management has no idea why.

      this company has drastically gone down hill in the last 2 years! the container store use to pride its self on an employee first foundation but that has long sense gone, its now all about pushing sales to pay for the very expensive tcs closets they rolled out 2 years ago that no one wants to buy. Manager sit in their office all day "writing reports" and ignoring the chaos on the sales floor. employees are overwork and under appreciated. customers become frustrated with the lack of employees and help on the sales floor and in turn take it out on the first employee they see. Trucks are almost impossible to finish we sometime only have a team of 7-10 people to unload a 2,700 + cube truck. employees are exhausted and are expected to do unsafe amounts of work.

      No room for tenured employees, high pressure to sell TCS Closets. Seems like management changes focus monthly.
