      Pros

      Generally great colleagues to work with. Very creative and talented people gravitate to the company. in terms of retail this ranks as one of the best environments in the industry.

      Cons

      Highly subjective and nebulous promotion process. Very unilateral in commitment. It is expected that you are available whenever they need but there is not guarantee that open availability translates into more hours. I am was hired during a wage freeze and am currently in the midst of another. Very corporate centric, but corporate has no presence in the store.

      Pros

      Many wonderful co-workers, who truly love the store and the customers.

      Cons

      The employees are now, and have been for a while, a beaten down group of frustrated workers. The current level of staffing is beyond ridiculous. How much more can we take of angry customers, long lines at the registers, and truck shipments not on the shelves (still in boxes) ONE WEEK after hitting the stock room. Or those boxes are on the floor, which we all step over because no one is scheduled to process them.
