      1. Industry. Oil & Gas Industry is very hungry to technology 2. Location. Cost of living in Houston is very low compared to other teach hubs

      1. Technology gap. Lots of blockers because you speak different language 2. They think of Data Science as IT

      Pros

      The managers are very intelligent and hard working people. I've developed a strong work ethic and have had many opportunities to practice and develop leadership skills. This company is the leader in our industry and has a strong financial backing. Expect to work hard and take on pretty significant challenges. Do not work here if you want an easy job.

      Cons

      Work-life balance can be a challenging thing to have, depending on your role. By having a good relationship with my boss I've been able to take more days off when I need it and maintain a good balance. Overtime is strongly encouraged for salary employees and it may feel like an expectation some times, but it is not. However there are a lot of workaholics in this company.
