Pros

Nice CEO, they really value engineers and it felt like everyone started their career as an engineer. Lots of travel, including a month in Argentina, it’s a global company so it was fun getting to know people around the world. Loved learning about Argentinian culture because so many Argentinians worked in Houston plants. Decent pay, never complained about that. Unlimited sick days. Overall it felt like people (mostly) appreciated working at Tenaris.

Cons

It really depends on the plant and department. I worked in 3 locations and if I had based my experience on one it would have been 1 star because it was so toxic. The work-life balance was totally different if you worked in the plants vs. corporate office. In the plants, it felt like 50 hours/week was never enough and salaried employees were a little exploited because our hourly counterparts were getting overtime pay. In the corporate office, I regularly worked 35-45 hours/week with no problem and post-covid worked hybrid when I wanted. Very low female population (15%) and had a few issues with that. You get 2 weeks vacation for your first 5 years and 12 weeks maternity, which I know is standard in the U.S. but it was frustrating when you worked so closely with engineers in other countries and they started with 3-5 weeks PTO and 4-12 months maternity doing the same job.
