Benefits of a government like company.. High paysacle for a small city like Jamshedpur. Good facilities for employees. Just a 9 to 5 Job if in the ITS Department of TATA STEEL

Lots of politics takes place at job. Less professional attitude of many employees. Recruitment process to be made more stringent.

Great people, fair salary (not the best for the industry). Tata buying Corus was a good thing for the workers and investors

Cons

Very family oriented, if coming from the "outside" it is hard to get in front of friends of top management (Scunthorpe site)
