      If money is not the only motivation for you TCS is one of the best place to work

      Pros

      Challenging opportunities and diversified field of work. I have worked in TCS for 9 years and have found this to be a great place to work. The kind ofopportunities the company provides are great. You can easily move from domain to domain or technology to technology. The pay is not that high. if money is not the greatest motivation for you, this might be the place for you would like to work. It is so amazing to see the way TCS has grown is the past 10 years. I have no hesitation to say TCS has grown to become a true global company.

      Pros

      Great Initial Training Program. Good opportunity for learning if put on the right project. Some people may be interested in onsite opportunities for the $.

      Cons

      Pay is really really bad. 90% of the people that I worked with were extremely incompetent who were (not surprisingly) satisfied with their job. Any decent engineer would get frustrated in just a couple of weeks. Management treats employee like a herd of cattle. Engineers are randomly put on projects. Employees have to work in shifts because there are not enough PCs or chairs for people to sit on! Barring a couple of projects, the work is very dull and boring. If you are billed by the client, good for you otherwise be prepared to spend long working hours.

Choice of Roles / functions you get in your career at TCS is just amazing, one gets to experience various business models, industries, engineering functions you name it and it’s possible to experience. 2. Business Focus brought in by the TCS CxOs is just amazing, combination of an excellent visionary approach and razor sharp focus on operational matters is clearly evident in TCS’ business results. 3. TATA Group: Being a part of the TATA Group further expands the possibilities one has to aim for career prospects and ambitions. Approach of the TATA group towards innovation and diversifying its global reach in meaningful initiatives
