Pros

The type of projects we're working on are really varied (could be an Instagram video or could be a full on TV show). It's hard to think of any other digital video company that does all that, this well. The people know how to work hard but still have fun. The founders are both approachable and you can actually get meetings with them if you ask.

Cons

It kind of seems like the company is undergoing a shift, where new higher quality talent is coming in (we just got this amazing guy leading our post department from Spotify). But with that, those who aren't part of that will naturally be sour, so there is some element of a group of people who sound bitter about the company and that's not fun to be around. Fortunately that group is getting smaller and smaller

Pros

Talented coworkers, occasionally able to create interesting work

Cons

Coworkers either quit or are getting laid off constantly, which is not a good sign. Management does not care about employees. You’re nothing but a number on a spreadsheet. This is not a place to grow your career. They will have you running on a hamster wheel. This is a company that depends on the hard work of freelancers but will work them until burnout. While they work more than 40 hours per week, freelancers don’t get PTO, and raises are a long shot. Plan on driving to work? Good luck finding parking as Tastemade does not provide for the majority of employees/contractors. Management needs to do some soul searching because it’s going to get harder and harder to retain talent (a lot of us are interviewing/applying for other jobs lmao).

Pros

My coworkers are honest and genuine..for real! Leadership is transparent about what is happening, more than anywhere else I have worked before. I can appreciate it The environment is collaborative and creative. If you have an idea or something you want to try, they will actually let you do it (most of the time) It is refreshing to be encouraged and empowered Internal growth opportunities do exist Great team atmosphere, FREE Fitness classes (BARRYS!) FREE lunches, FREE food from the shows they film, FREE Snacks, and Happy Hours Lean teams, you get to wear a lot of hats and you get exposed to way more than you would at a bigger company

Cons

Long hours if you are on a small team Not the best location, there aren't many places to eat around here
