Pros

Unlimited vacation Flexible WFH policy Medical and 401k benefits

Cons

I've never worked with more under-qualified and uneducated people in my entire professional career. HR aimlessly scrolls through Linkedin with no understanding of each team's unique needs, and brings on new hires who don't even fit the mold of the basic job description. From the poor hiring and onboarding, to the non-existent training for new employees, HR has set this company up for failure. This is a hostile work environment, where no one take ownership of their work or responsibility for their actions. The entire company is constantly pointing fingers at each other. There is no sense of community here, even on your own team. Job stability is slim to none. Spontaneous, non-performance based lay offs are monthly, and spearheaded by the corrupt upper management. After bragging about a PPP grant that would protect the jobs of all Tastemade employees, the CEO laid off ~130 people (contract and full time) on a company-wide Zoom meeting, only offering those affected 2 weeks of severance pay.

Pros

The Brand Strategy Team is full of empathetic, smart, and hardworking people. Strategy is a team sport at Tastemade and the team is lead by a compassionate manager who always makes time for their direct reports. You will work extremely hard here but you will also learn a lot. There is a strong culture of innovation on the Brand Strategy team.

Cons

As a strategist you really are the spoke on the wheel that connects most internal communication. There are a lot of approvals and red tape that the strategist are responsible for getting in the pre-sales phase that slow down momentum and add stress.

Pros

Some really great, genuine coworkers and talented creatives. Hardworking individuals that care about the happiness and success of others. Overall great camaraderie between teams and you will make some true friends here. Great vacation policy and health benefits.

Cons

After working at Tastemade for several years, I avoided writing a review of this company to put the past behind me. However, I feel the need to speak up due to the inadequacy and lack of professionalism I have seen recently from the HR department. PLEASE. STOP. WRITING. FAKE. REVIEWS. You know who you are. Employees from company’s past and present are reading, sharing and laughing at the overt attempts to boost the company’s outward appearance. Please, to any new applicant who is considering Tastemade, look past the ridiculous 4 and 5 star reviews that beam about the leadership at this company. I guarantee ANYONE currently working there will give you a different perspective.
