Pros

Target has really stepped up its game when it comes to putting technology in the forefront. We're doing a good job at keeping up with the latest technologies while not creating too much churn. Work-life balance is outstanding. It's very rare if I work more than 40 hours a week. Benefits are average for a large corporation - good enough.

Cons

Like any big company, it sometimes feels like your hard work isn't always recognized financially. Management tells us HR is making changes to enable smaller incremental increases more often, but I have yet to see that in practice. Big picture life is good, but day-to-day can be frustrating at times if you're someone who wants things done the right way. Some developers only do what it takes to make it work.

Pros

There are no pros of working here. They only behave well with you during interviews and before you join. After you join its all downhill.

Cons

Awful work. Nothing gets done here due to lots of politics. They are miles behind their competitors in technology. Forget about amazon, they cant even compete with companies like walmart. Things have started to go worse, due to competition from amazon. If you are on H1, completely avoid the company. The HR is straight off lying to h1 employees, promising them green card in 6 months. Once you join, the tune completely changes. The managers keep coming up with excuses and they are ready to completely jeopardize your career and life. The managers also behave very badly with employees, and do not show any appreciation for the hard work employees do. HR collects surveys about managers just for show, nothing comes out of it.

Pros

This company is making many great moves & is going in the right direction - very open to innovation & new ideas.

Cons

- Many managers don't do a thing. Continue to reduce. - Work descriptions for engineering managers/ scrum masters/ product owners & product managers must be defined. - Engineers work more than other job titles.
