Pros

You learn a lot about innovative, process-driven retail. Generally, it is a forward-looking company that is organized and well managed. It is a diverse company and you get to work with many different kinds of people.

Cons

There is a lot of work to do and work/life balance is not well-supported. The philosophy seems to be "faster, faster, faster" and this pace and intensity permeates the entire culture and all the job functions. It's effective and keeps the retailer at the forefront of innovation and customer service, but it wears on the employees and you can only work at this pace for so long.

Pros

The volunteer events at T-0317 are worth putting up with all the hardships of working there.

Cons

You have to work the weekends, mandatory minimums of working 2 nights a week plus weekends. ETL's do not approve of much time off. Management does not inform team members of benefits (such as FMLA, bereavement, and the ability to use sick pay). When team members ask for such things they are denied, leaving them either to steal from the company, quit, or call the hotline, which falls on deaf ears.

Pros

Variety of jobs available, the events done to boost employee morale (birthday/anniversary recognition, holiday celebrations, etc.), their attempts at trying to promote a team culture, prizes for accomplishing different things (i.e. employee: who gets the most credit card applications, with the best looking section, who promotes the highest sales by approaching guests and offering assistance, reaching a certain number of days without an accident, etc.), diversity, and broad hours allow school attendance to mesh with work schedule

Cons

Frequent work shift changes without discussion, keeping employees beyond their shifts on an almost daily basis; being locked in the building at the end of your shift after you are off the clock, having to wait for management to finish emails, discussions, equipment/key counts, etc. before disarming the store and unlocking the door; the lack of accountability for people who aren't efficiently doing their jobs, highers-ups who do things no one should do let alone someone who works for the company (i.e. using a towel that was for sale to dust the shelves, opening & using products without paying for them, etc.)
