Pros

Good Management coupled with people who care ... usually. Of course, it all depends on what region you work in and whether or not you have competent management. For instance, I hated working in Virginia because they were all slave drivers where politics reigned when advancement opportunities arose. However, I love working in Colorado because the environment is a lot friendlier and the people here actually know what they're doing. Simply put, if you're someone who'd rather be busy doing a physical job than socializing all day or in an office this is a great place to work in the right region.

Cons

As stated above, different regions and districts have different ways of doing things. Some are better than others. If you want to socialize all day and not work hard physically then Target is not for you.

Pros

Friendly atmosphere, but at times can be over the top and fake or superficial. The internship program is a long standing one at Target and is really well developed. Target helps pay for hour housing, and provides solid training considering the internship is only ten weeks long. There is solid collaboration with cross-functional teams and your intern projects are meaningful. Overall, a good place to gain internship experience and a solid idea of a corporate atmosphere.

Cons

Overly stuffy, it seems like everyone is watching over everyone else's back. People have to always watch what they are saying or doing so as not to be looked upon negatively.

Pros

Good training program to start career. It is a big company with systems to get things moving.

Cons

A lot of meetings with contactors & offshore resources. Target relies a lot of development and supporting work from TCS and offshore resources. Employees in US are being laid off mainly for this reason. Long hours, and employees just another headcount.
