Pros

- Heavy focus on team member development - through feedback, mentoring etc., - Great culture - can learn a lot about leveraging relationships to create an impact - Effective talent routine and tools - Good pedigree of peers to work with

Cons

- Very slow decision making - Bangalore teams still unable to play an effective/strategic role. In many cases incompetent partners in HQ who have no insights to working in a global organization make decisions - HR teams capability needs a HUGE overhaul. Specially the business facing teams

Pros

There is a developmental culture that is unlike anything I have seen at other companies. Target has made it their mission to focus on individuals to create a satisfied team, which translates to a successful team.

Cons

Retail in general is difficult because of the flexible and constantly changing schedules. This is true of Target as well.
