Not worth the pay

Pros

Great people to work with. Compensation and training were great. Target had a very inviting atmosphere to work in. Shift starts were filled with recognition given by employees, not management.

Cons

They work you like a dog. If you are salaried, forget about having a day off or life in general. Days off are filled with team building exercises that are mandatory, even if you have just put in 50 hrs in 3 days. I once worked 18 hrs straight, and had my guest from out of town stuck waiting outside of my apartment for 2 hrs. This was NOT by choice.

Pros

Great people, lots of feedback given if asked for, self development is encouraged, good pay with a degree to start, opportunity to advance if desired

Cons

Must be willing to relocate if you want to advance, long hours especially during holiday season, can expect to work 55 to 60 hours regularly with 70-80 hour weeks during holiday season, feedback is not given as freely as it should be, self development is encouraged meaning they don't try to develop their employees as it is all in the employees hands
