Pros

Consistent hours, for those who work in the back Training was adequate Management enforced store policies consistently Good insurance and retirement plans, many options available. A well defined advancement paths, with a fair review process.

Cons

New managers consistently strong on business, weak on managing employees. Management rarely takes the time to see things from the front lines, frequently relying on short (1shift) stints as a basis for all their decisions. Bad co-workers are hard to fire, even if all management wants too.

Pros

Everyone was friendly. They only hired competent and friendly managers so there was no discriminating or poor treatment towards other employees. The work schedule is very flexible. Raises were very good compared to other employers.

Cons

Promotion is difficult to get unless you are a bubbly person and VERY talkative. Our store always hired/promoted these kinds of people but in the end they were fired or demoted due to incompentency or not being able to keep up with the workload.

The store provides a very optimistic environment and the specialized placement of employees allows you to fully learn your area and better assist customers.

Cons

There is only a small window open for promotion to the next level in the store. Most employees are hired and sales representatives and are unable to move into Management positions.
