Pros

Worked with great people (other GLs and team members). Good for experience right out of college and good for a resume builder...that's about it sad to say. Good benefits and 401k. I had higher expectations. I recommend for experience but not long term (1-2 years).

Cons

Group Leaders are not valued by upper management, they are easily replaceable. Because of that, most quit after 6 months to a couple years. I worked there just over 2 years and I saw and average of 1 GL quit per month, that's 24 in 2 years! Also, after about a year into working there, the GM was new, all of HR and the senior leadership team was new as well. Some got fired and some quit. Since I left in February 2016, I know of at least 6 other GLs that have quit as well to go to competitors. Warehouse workers are favored over managers because they are afraid of a union forming. HR makes too many friends with managers and warehouse workers, they should be separate and unbiased, however, they let their friends influence their decisions. It is very political and feels like high school. It's really hard to get any support from HR or upper management, they are not very involved in the operation. Overall I had a very disappointing experience and I had higher expectations for such a large, established company. I am now at a competitor and much happier!

Pros

Just completed the initial stage of accepting role. Looking forward to the training and the opportunity to progress with the organization.

Cons

None as of yet. Looking forward to the training that Target has to offer. With as many weeks that are involved, there is no room for anyone to fail.
