Pros

- high $ responsibility - social, progressive culture if you’re into that (although POC have historically high turnover rates) - lots of verbal recognition if you have the right manager/BU - autonomy to own your schedule - fast paced environment and ability to drive actual strategy and change - business is doing great and fun to see growth

Cons

- pay is NOT competitive when compared to workload. For an entry level job, they will work you to death (although have heard they finally increased starting rate for new hires - currents IAs haven’t seen that) - all Target owned systems, so hard to transfer those skills to other jobs - no supply chain understanding from merch/planning and a bad BU can make your life miserable - covid/supply chain delays have IAs working completely outside their job descriptions with no additional compensation or recognition - path to promotion is horrible: IAs are getting stuck in role for 3+ years when this is advertised as a 1.5-2 year role.

Pros

Was better when we were in the office and people were forced to be nice.

Cons

Merchandising will treat you like you’re dirt and walk all over you. The virtual world really elevated it, because they’re not forced to see you in person. We had no leverage or insight into anything and Merch would get mad when we tell them that.

Pros

Target has great culture along with good people. HQ in downtown is beautiful. The job is very high paced and you learn a lot of transferable skills.

Cons

During the pandemic it seems as though analysts are overworked. Seems as though Target needs more analysts to take off work load
